NESCA PARK PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

A modern, well-kept playground on a slope at The Hill, a short walk from Darby Street and right in the middle of Newcastle. The equipment is clean and in good condition - swings, a spinning wheel and a fort - and suits older toddlers upwards. A fantastic grassed area and picnic tables sit close by, with plenty of room to run. A bocce club plays alongside and adds to the atmosphere. It gets busy given the density of housing around it. Two common gripes: the playground feels small for the size of the park, and the public toilets are no better than average.
